Qualifications & Experience
Upon completing my degree, I had the honour of volunteering with the Nepal Pain Relief Project, in the rural epicentre of the 2015 earthquakes, Dolakha. We ran a multi bed clinic, offering medical diagnosis and treatment to many in need, seeing up to 28 patients, daily. Whilst practising, we received a visits from the regional health minister and had the opportunity to demonstrate acupuncture’s positive effects on the the community.
After a year living within and managing spiritual retreat centres and communities in Sweden, I now offer 1-to-1 healing sessions in my home town, Worthing. I create tailor made treatment plans integrating Chinese medicinal diagnosis, Five Element, 6 Division, TCM and Stems and Branches acupuncture; complimented with crystal therapy, far infrared therapy, reiki healing and sound frequency healing.
I understand that the diagnosis of the dis-ease of an individuals body and mind cannot be considered separately. I seek to treat holistically and in doing so, restore balance. I believe that we hold more power and responsibility for our wellbeing than we are lead to believe and I am continuously awaking to that.
I am fully licensed with Worthing Borough Council; accredited and insured with the the British Acupuncture Council and committed to maintaining safe practices, codes of conduct and CPD requirements.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Appreciation
“I have seen Anne Marie a few times now and I have already recommended her to friends and family. She is a really lovely person who puts you at ease and makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable. Her treatment room is a wonderful space where I felt calm and safe. I have seen a few acupuncturists and other holistic practitioners over the years and I have to say that Anne Marie comes out top. Combined with her crystals and other treatments she has made me feel so much better. She really knows her stuff. I had several issues from pain to low mood and she has been amazing. I highly recommend her.”

“I’ve been going to Anna-Marie for acupuncture, tuning forks, crystal healing and reiki a number of times now. I am a eight year post liver transplant patient with various over problems caused with rejection medication, steroids and various other ones that have caused renal disfunction, bladder problems and a few more. I’ve been on high rejection drugs for eight years and have been told by my liver consultant that it will never go down as my liver rejected with a lower dose. I’ve recently been up to kings and had my routine blood tests to see how my liver is doing and my consultant phoned me a few days later asking me to drop my rejection drugs down from 6mg to 4mg and my kidney function had got a little better. I asked how has that happened and he said he really doesn’t know. The only thing I have been doing any different is having treatments with Anna- Marie. My conditions are auto immune diseases so I understand they will never go, but going to Anna- Marie has helped with my symptoms.”

“Anna-Marie is characterised by her calm and empathic manner. With her, you are a person (not an anonymous number in the system) who is taken seriously with your problems and concerns. She takes the time to get to know you and listens. Her treatments not only relieved my symptoms, but her aim was always to understand the cause of my problem and to support me in my healing. It was always clear that the responsibility for healing lies with me and Anna-Marie supports my self healing with all her knowledge and skills. With every healing success, no matter how mall or big, she was always excited and sometimes even more happy than I was. You are absolutely in good hands with her, even if you are afraid if needles, like me and I can recommend everyone to try a treatment.”

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Nepal Pain relief project
“Anna-Marie is an exceptional individual with a rare combination of professionalism, compassion, stamina and aptitude. She treated thousands of patients in a matter of weeks in an extremely challenging environment. She coordinates seamlessly with colleagues from a totally different ethnic background and overcoming significant language and cultural obstacles. She also maintains exceptional reporting with the headquarters of our NGO in Geneva, Switzerland keeping us fully aware of progress and challenges.
Aside from this Anna-Marie is an extremely caring, friendly and approachable person. These qualities helped both herself and our organisation develop positive relationships with key stake holders in local community and government. This also meant that the care delivered to patients was entirely patient lead; despite an exhausting workload she took time to understand the true nature of the patients needs. She was greatly appreciated by her patients who went out of their way to let us know.
Our projects are normally run with two volunteers in the field; due to the extreme level of poverty and huge work load. In the 2019 October project the volunteer accompanying Anna-Marie was not able to stay for the full six weeks due to personal reasons. This left Anna-Marie working alone, seeing up to 50 patients a day in extremely challenging circumstances. She not only didn’t flinch at this challenge but fully embraced it. All the team at Nepal Pain Relief we’re so impressed with the reports we received from our partner organisation in Nepal; who were not only deeply grateful for her work but also utterly humbled by her diligence. Providing these services in a high altitude, poverty stricken health station is something that requires a very special strength of character, to do it alone is something else.
Furthermore, Anna-Marie’s diligent reporting on the needs and requirements for our project also formed the basis of much of last year’s fundraising materials. She was able to capture and express what is truly important for the people most in need so effectively that many of our supporters donated large sums to keep the project running.
Any care team that includes Anna-Marie will succeed to deliver the care and compassion required for the recipient, while maintaining and improving the frameworks needed to make that care sustainable.”
